The filament shelf with its signs FREE!, THIS WEEK and 1 WEEK OLD. The age signs move to a different shelf every week, so go by the sign, not the position. Only a FREE sticker over the owner's name makes a spool free, not the shelf it stands on

In the printing room

  • Build-plate rack. Finished prints wait here on their plate for their owner, and this is where you take a plate from.

  • Eight X2Ds and two H2Ss. You may switch on the wall fan above the H2S printers to keep the room comfortable.

  • Resin cabinet. Resin printing is not part of this course and needs a separate, in-person course.

  • Wall computer, tools and nametag rack. You may use any tool on the pegboard, as long as you know how. The workstations in the big room also have Bambu Studio, with the printers set up.

Find the nearest fire extinguisher and the nearest fire hose before you start your first print, so you know where they are if you ever need them.

Purge waste ("poop") runs down a chute system behind the printers into grey collection boxes: one on the floor under the X2D rack, and one inside each H2S stand.

The purge chute system: the pipe from an upper-row X2D down into the lower printer's funnel, the funnel with purge waste in it, and the grey collection box under the rack
