Quick guide
Preparing photos
Up to 36 photos (3×5", 4×6" or 5×7") face up, top edge first. Slide the edge guides in. Mixing 4×6" and 5×7"? Centre-align them.
Sort by size; group by subject or date (you can name each batch).
Make sure photos aren't stuck together — double feeds can damage them.
Wipe off dust and album glue with a soft dry cloth.
Straighten curled photos, or scan fewer at a time.
Don't add photos while it's scanning. Don't mix photos and documents.
Use the carrier sheet for small, delicate or important photos.
Polaroids and panoramas: one at a time.
Maintenance
The software reminds you to clean every 300 scans. Dust on rollers and glass causes lines and can scratch photos. Use the microfibre cloth — cleaning video.
