Creality CR-30 (in storage)

In storage — not available for use. Likely to be sold. The information below describes the old setup.

Heavily modified Creality CR-30 ("3DPrintMill") belt printer: prints at 45° onto a moving belt, so Z length is practically unlimited — good for series production or very long parts. Runs 2.85 mm filament (matching the old Ultimaker printers, not today's Bambu printers) with a 0.8 mm Volcano hotend.

Operation (old setup)

  • Controlled over WiFi via the Sonic Pad: Fluidd or Mainsail. Can't connect → check you're on the makerspace WiFi and the IP on the Sonic Pad.

  • Printing: upload the G-code through the web interface.

  • Loading/unloading: heat the nozzle, extrude via the interface until the end shows in the Bowden tube, then pull out by hand while pressing the extruder lever. Reverse to load.

  • Don't change the nozzle — it's a specially modified one.

  • Spare parts: Erik C (#1005) or the board.

  • Custom part-cooling fan duct

  • Possibly: NeoPixel strip, runout sensor for 2.85 mm, NAK3D/LDO aluminium motor mounts with 0.9° steppers
