Drain-trap maintenance
Maintaining the floor-drain traps in the shared premises.
This procedure was moved from Cleaning routines on 15 October 2026. The drain locations and plugged status below are inherited documentation and need an on-site check before being treated as a current survey.
Topping up the drain traps
There are a number of floor drains in the space, as the premises were previously used as a chemistry lab. These must be topped up with water regularly to prevent foul-smelling gases from rising out of the drains. This should ideally be done once every two months. The floor drains should be filled with a full bucket of water. Take care not to damage anything sitting on the floor near the drains.
