14 October 2026 — photos from 13 October and identified accessories
Two new member photos, taken 13 October 2026, show the mill from the front and the side. The member identifies the fitted DRO as a Ditron D80 and the vice as a HAAS HMV-6F-08, which is often used with the mill. The machine page now shows the photos side by side; the previous main photo is still available via the original-photo link in the entry 14 October 2026 — current setup.
The fitted speed plate shows 12 nominal settings, 75–3200 rpm. The end values are readable in both photos. The wiki previously gave 80–3150 rpm (12 settings); that figure is kept here as the older value. No speed measurement or full transcription of the less legible middle rows has been made.
The front markings Right / Left / Stop / E-stop and the warning CHANGE SPEED WITH THE MACHINE STOPPED have been documented. The side photo shows the oil sight glass and ↑ Påfyllning olja (oil filler). No repair or calibration was reported with the photos.

14 October 2026 — current setup
A new member photo shows the ZX45 with DRO, work light, vice on the table, quill hand feed and the tool holder on the wall to the right. It replaced the machine page's older main photo. No repair or check measurement was reported with the photo.

DRO installation history
2025 — Ditron D80 display installed
The D80 readout unit was installed after the scales had been fitted in 2023.
2023 — X, Y and quill scales mounted
Installed the 600 mm DMA X scale, 250 mm DMS Y scale and 150 mm DMS quill scale.
The 600 mm DMA column scale has not been mounted. It is still at Makerspace and is available for a member to fabricate brackets and install it. The D80 supports combining the column and quill readings into one Z axis after installation.

April 2022 — Magnetic scales ordered
Ordered scales for X (600 mm), Y (250 mm), quill (150 mm) and column (600 mm). DMA was selected for lengths over 400 mm and DMS for lengths up to and including 400 mm.

2018-07-13: New tools bought: MT2 drawbar adapters, MT2 tang and MT3 tang. Square and hexagonal blocks for ER40 collets.
2018-07-02: Vice bought.
