⚙️ The Makerspace Bit: Sensor & Tech

The 750D has an APS-C sensor (22.3 × 14.9 mm). This is smaller than full-frame, which means:

1.6× crop factor – a 50mm lens looks like an 80mm lens
24.2 megapixels – plenty for large prints or cropping
ISO 100–12800 (expandable to 25600) – usable range for most indoor projects
1080p video at 30/25/24 fps – good enough for documenting builds

Key takeaway for makers: The crop factor is your friend for close-up project shots (less working distance needed), but it struggles in very low light unless you add workshop lighting.

🎛️ Just Tell Me What to Set

Mode dial to “P” if you want point-and-shoot.
Want a bit more control? Try these:

Av (Aperture Priority): For blurry backgrounds. Set aperture to the lowest number (e.g., f/3.5) and let the camera do the rest.
Tv (Shutter Priority): For freezing motion (machines, people). Set to 1/250 sec or faster.
ISO: Keep on Auto ISO. The camera is smart enough.
Focus: Set lens to AF (Autofocus). Use the touchscreen to tap what you want sharp.
Picture Style: Set to 🖼️ Standard or 🌄 Landscape for punchy maker-project photos.

Pro move: Flip the screen out and use Live View (the 📷 button near the viewfinder). Touch the screen to take a photo—like a giant phone.

55mm = Zoomed. Just the detail on the PCB.
250mm (if you have the big lens) = Very zoomed. See the engraving on that chip from across the room.
