Hot-air rework station — Weller WHA 900
Saved standby can start heating as soon as it's switched on — keep the handpiece in its rest and assume it's hot.
Hot-air station for SMD soldering and component removal. Turquoise unit on the bench shelf, beside the SolderPeak desoldering station.

The dial temperature isn't the joint temperature — that depends on nozzle, airflow, distance and board.
How to use
Board unpowered, batteries out, on a heat-proof surface. Clear loose wires and paper. Tweezers ready. Fume extractor on.
Handpiece in its rest. Set temperature and airflow, switch on.
Press green Start/Stop for hot air.
Heat evenly. Enough air for the joint, not so much that small parts blow away. Only lift a part once the solder has melted.
Stop, handpiece back in its rest, switch off. Let everything cool.
Practise on scrap before a valuable repair. Change nozzles only when cool (clamping screw).
