Dahle paper cutters — Open questions

Outstanding checks for the blue Dahle 565 and dark-grey Dahle cutter. Operating guidance is on their separate machine pages.

Blue Dahle 565

  • Photograph the underside product-code/serial label and obtain instructions matching this particular version.

  • Have the blade guarding and paper-holding arrangement checked against that version. The available 515/565 diagrams show a different guard design; the photos alone do not establish that every required protective part is present and effective.

  • Measure the usable cutting length and confirm the permitted stack thickness and materials. Do not transfer a newer or different-market 565's sheet rating to this unit.

  • Demonstrate and document the actual paper-holding and adjustment controls, including the red knob; do not infer their operation from a different revision.

  • Confirm ownership, access arrangements and the current labelled storage position.

Dark-grey Dahle

  • Read and photograph the product-code label under the cutting table, then obtain the exact manual. No model number is visible in the existing photographs.

  • Measure the usable cutting length and establish the permitted material/stack limits. The earlier “A3 / approximately 300 mm” description does not establish full A3 cutting capability.

  • Confirm that the separate pressure/finger-protection strip, its white fasteners, blade pivot and feet are complete and sound. The strip is visible in the paired photo but absent from the single-machine identification photo.

  • Confirm the current storage location and the loan arrangement with the recorded owner, Erik C. (#1005).
