Planned setup
VFD (frequency converter) for variable wheel speed. The allowed speed range will be labelled on the machine once set.
Foot pedal for on/off, so both hands can hold the work.
Operating instructions will be added here when the machine is released.
Safety
Safety glasses, face shield and hearing protection.
No gloves. Tie back hair, remove jewellery, secure loose clothing.
Use a wheel and compound suited to the material. Keep wheels and compounds labelled so they don't get mixed.
Hold the work below the wheel centre, light pressure. Small or sharp-edged parts can be grabbed and thrown.
The wheels keep spinning after stopping — wait for a full stop before touching them.
No wood or composites. No grinding wheels or wire brushes on this machine.
Maintenance
Power off before wheel changes, cleaning or service.
Keep the shaft ends covered with the cap nuts.
Wheel changes and VFD settings are maintainer tasks.
The manual is contradictory about wheel-nut thread direction (pp. 21 vs 36) — check the actual nuts before loosening.
