Maintenance and repairs log — Woodworking jigs
Maintenance, configuration and acquisition history for Woodworking jigs. Current locating information, precautions and file references are on the main page.
Dated reports describe what was known at the time. A reported delivery, repair or successful project does not establish the present condition of every jig or approve a different machine setup. Outstanding checks are collected in Woodshop open questions.
29 September 2026 — Shared joinery and circle-jig inventory
A room developer confirmed a dowel-drilling jig, biscuit joiner and circle jig, and said there is no Domino. Status: inventory statement at that date; present location/condition still needs checking. The dowel-drilling jig is not the separate long-dowel-making proposal below. Inventory reply.
9–11 September 2026 — Long-dowel-making jig discussed
Members asked about producing long dowels of matching wood. A dedicated jig and possible printed rotating supports were discussed, but no shared jig was confirmed built, tested or installed. Existing plug-cutting bits and lathe/router techniques were discussed; those remarks are not a complete approved operating procedure. Status: proposal only. Full discussion.
13 July 2026 — Wolfcraft dowel-drilling jig location
A reply identifies a Wolfcraft jig and says it should be in the drawers beneath the belt sander. The drawers were still unlabelled after rebuilding. Status: expected storage location, not a checked inventory or identification of a specific Wolfcraft model. Reply.
9 June 2026 — Previous table-saw jig needs adaptation
A member photographed a two-slot table-saw jig on the current Hammer and asked whether it was meant for another saw. A room developer confirms it was for the old table saw and suggests adaptation. The final reply says the member may look at it later. Status: no completed conversion, mounting check or test recorded. Do not infer present compatibility from the photograph. Full thread/photo.
Earlier two-slot jig resting on the Hammer during the compatibility question
Historical identification photo, not an approved mounted setup. The main page follows the current K3 course for blade height, guarding and stopping; the older 1/8-inch height recipe is superseded.
27 May 2026 — Thin-rip saw jig not confirmed
A member asked for a thin-rip jig; the reply said the room developer did not think one was available. Status: availability uncertain, not proof that every older thin-strip jig was discarded. The earlier page's thin-strip description cannot establish a usable current Hammer setup. Thread.
28 April–18 May 2026 — Tenon/vertical-cut jig proposals and prototype
A shared tenon jig was proposed with square back support and hold-down/toggle-clamp accommodation. A member later made a crosscut-fence prototype and asked about replacing clamps with hand pressure. The reply advises using the clamps shown; no completed shared-jig acceptance or safe setup test follows. Further router-jig exploration was suggested. Status: prototype and suggestions, not a confirmed reusable shared tenon jig. Do not import the casual remote assessment as permission for an unclamped vertical cut. Full planning/follow-up thread, clamping reply.
20 April 2026 — Table-router finger-joint jig storage
The finger/box-joint jig for the table router was reported stored under the Sjöberg workbench. No cutter, indexing dimension or approved current spindle setup was recorded in this location thread. Reply.
8–12 March 2026 — Blue commercial jig identified
The commercial blue joinery fixture was photographed during a finger-joint enquiry. A reply identifies Clas Ohlson; the photograph's article label reads 30-4751, which matches the official model 91800 dovetail-jig manual. This is the separate bench-mounted handheld-router dovetail jig, not the homemade router-table fixture.
Status: local identity corroborated by label and manufacturer drawing/instructions. The correct dovetail cutter, guide bearing, template, height adjuster and any other missing parts still need inventory. The official manual's English and Swedish thickness ranges differ, so an instructor must verify the intended stock/setup rather than assume universal capacity. Thread and label photo, identification reply/photo.

15–16 February 2026 — Homemade finger-joint components and donated jig
The first two photos in an identification thread were identified as parts of a finger-joint jig for the table router. A third wooden object remained unidentified. A later photograph shows the blue commercial jig above; it was described as donated about two years earlier, with use and extra guide/template availability uncertain. Status: purpose identified for the homemade components; no present cutter/indexing specification or completed training/test recorded. Identification/full thread.

Identification photos, not complete assembly instructions. The old page's 6 × 6 mm table-saw indexing key is not automatically the dimension of this router jig.
15 February 2026 — MaKoen circle jig delivered
The circle jig arrived and was assigned a wall storage place. The local setup record requires all three M4 × 20 mm mounting screws, kept in the small bag beside it. It also says the five original M5 × 8 mm handheld-router sole screws should be stored in that bag while removed so they are not lost. Status: jig delivered and local attachment sequence photographed; no machine model plate or dimensioned compatibility record in the series. Delivery/setup record.

The plate is marked with Festool OF hole patterns. Confirm the exact router and matching pattern before repeating this setup; it is not permission to attach the jig to the custom table-router spindle.
The English manual and separate German safety instructions were retrieved from MaKoen for the main page. They cover several jig/router variants; use only the relevant mounting diagram and the router's own instructions. Confirm any replacement fastener's exact type, length, engagement and clearance rather than assume the local three-screw arrangement applies to every listed model.
14–15 December 2025 — Circle-jig purchase authorized
The circle jig was requested for the handheld Festool router and purchase authorized. A member planned to order from the manufacturer. The later January dispatch notice and February delivery record close the acquisition sequence; this earlier request is no longer an unresolved purchase proposal. Planning thread, dispatch notice.
The same thread discusses a stuck bit/spindle-lock problem in the handheld Festool. It must not be attributed to the custom router-table spindle, lift or Huanyang drive.
1 September 2025 — Spline-jig storage reference
In response to a frame/spline enquiry, a room developer pointed to a jig under the table beside the free-wood box. Status: locating advice; no present-machine attachment or clearance check supplied. Verify identity, current location and safe fit before use on the Hammer. Full thread.
18–20 August 2025 — Festool copying-ring reference
A reply to a handheld-Festool guide-bush enquiry supplied a package photograph showing Festool 486033. The current official product listing identifies a 30 mm copying ring for OF900, OF1000, OF1010/OF1010R and KF. This does not establish the exact local handheld-router model or compatibility with OF1400/the custom table spindle. Check fit, centring, cutter clearance and current stock. Local thread/photo, official specification.
The 30 mm copying ring is separate from the matching 1/2-inch bearing specified for the blue dovetail jig. Do not interchange them by appearance.
12–13 August 2025 — Old slab-flattening jig no longer confirmed
A reply said no shared slab-flattening jig was available, apart from the CNC option then under maintenance. The builder of a crude earlier jig said it probably no longer existed because storage had been unsuitable. Status: no current jig confirmed; do not advertise the earlier personal fixture as shared available equipment. Thread.
23–30 June 2025 — Thin-veneer planer carrier and adhesive cleanup
A thin-strip/veneer carrier for the planer was introduced on 23 June. On 26 June, residual adhesive on its surface prompted a cleanup warning: remove the adhesive after use without cutting or gouging the reference face. Alternative tapes and a possible engraved/QR instruction label were discussed. Status: carrier introduced and residue problem reported; no completed cleaning or verified instruction label recorded in the full follow-up. Introduction, cleanup discussion/photo.
Planer carrier labelled JIG #1 / THIN STRIP JIG / FOR PLANER during the residue report
Historical condition photograph. This is a planer carrier, not the table-saw thin-rip jig. Older masking-tape/CA and alternative-tape suggestions are not a complete verified operating setup or an exemption from the HMC's stock-size/retention limits.
Still to verify: inspect carrier flatness, surface condition, stock retention and present location. Have room developers verify the carrier arrangement against the installed planer and manual before use. Record the appropriate cleanup method and completed test rather than engrave an unverified recipe.
Earlier local jig notes — Dates not recorded
The earlier page documented a crosscut sled, miter attachment, thin-strip and spline jig, an unfinished tapering jig, and a box/finger-joint indexing arrangement recorded as 6 × 6 mm. A dedicated repeat-cut stop mechanism was described as under construction. These descriptions are historical equipment leads, not confirmed current inventory or Hammer compatibility. Relevant unresolved checks are on the main page. Earlier local notes.
Adding a maintenance entry
Record the date, symptom, work performed, parts used and result. Include useful photos and a source or contact for follow-up. Distinguish completed repairs from proposed work and confirm the result with an appropriate test. For jigs, also record the compatible machine, cutter/blade, mounting, workholding and verified clearance.
History consolidated on 13 October 2026.
