Materials

  • Yes: clean wood.

  • Plastics: ask first.

  • No: metal (not allowed in the Wood room, even though the drill can do it).

Safety

  • Clamp the work — never hold it by hand.

  • No gloves; tie back hair, no loose clothing.

  • Unplug before adjusting, changing bits or removing chips.

  • Don't look into the laser.

  • The height-lock handle has been repaired — get it shown to you. If the head slips, stop and report.

How to use

  1. Check the drill is stable, the bit is tight and the height lock holds.

  2. Set the height and clamp the work.

  3. Choose gear and speed for the bit and material.

  4. Depth: use Depth mode and the zero button on the display. Re-zero after any setup change.

  5. Feed steadily, retract the bit before stopping.

See Bosch's working advice.

Maintenance

  • Unplug before cleaning. Keep column and vents clean.

  • No spare parts in stock.

  • Maintenance and repairs log — acquisition and the August 2024 height-lock repair.
